Decided to do part of the route I 'skipped' when taking the train from Bern to Zürich, because I was still a little bummed I didn’t get to see the area. It did absolutely not disappoint!!

Hell-ish 3,5km climb to get there, but I'm very happy to report my legs can handle these things now. With Liège-Paris-Liège coming up, this gives me a nice boost of confidence that'll help me feel sure I'm going to get through the climbing 2,5 weeks from now!! ππ
It was nice to be by myself all day, and have some time to reflect on the past few weeks AND think of all of the 'normal life' stuff I'm looking forward to getting back to. It's been a holiday with a lot of ups and downs, and also one that was definitely a little too long. I've had trouble recognising the person in the mirror the past few days, struggling to make sense of their own thoughts/opinions. Ever since the Mont Ventoux, I've mostly been either feeling too lonely and disoriented/detached from my environment, or overwhelmed by the amount of strange people around me. I'm looking forward to being in my 'own' city again, with streets and faces I recognise. It's been a proper adventure, filled with stupidities and lessons, but mostly an abundance of smiles and moments of meaningful connection. I'm happy with all of it summed up, but I'm also very happy it's over.
Time to cocoon and let everything sink in π¦β¨οΈ
