The main thing that made this day difficult, was me thinking it was going to be easy.

Every little setback felt like a major issue. Even though I eventually realised it was mostly my mindset causing the actual problems, I couldn't find a way to flip the mental switch. 'Easy day' had turned into 'bad day', and I somehow got stuck amidst those apostrophes.
With the 'decision' this was going to be an easy day, I also forgot to check the weather. A perfectly avoidable and - and I am not exaggerating here - apocalyptic rainstorm caught me by surprise. I had to cut my ride short because of it and will probably struggle to reach my final destination in time. (For the people who have been following me for a while; Yes, this was RatN day 6 all over again π« )
The ending was, however, all good: the Hotel's receptionists gave me a towel and made some tea when I arrived. I was allowed to park my bike in the hallway AND they gave me the room closest to it. On top of that, I was also able to speak some French with them, which means I've made a lot of progress since my holiday in France last year. Glad to end the 'bad day' on a positive note ππΌπ
